How to import georeferenced Dot3D scan data into AutoScene Draw (ASD)

How to import Dot3D data into AutoScene Draw (ASD) with global positioning (scaled and georeferenced)

If you've captured your Dot3D scan with GPS control (i.e. from RTK, device GPS, or control targets), it's easy to import that data into AutoScene Draw as a geoTIFF file with global positioning and scale automatically retained. To do so, please follow these simple steps:

STEP 1:
From within Dot3D, position the scan view as both Top-Down and Ortho. Then create an orthophoto in TIFF format with embedded dimensional info.

STEP 2: Save to GNSS coordinates as prompted. Edit CRS via the change button only if necessary.

STEP 3: Drag and drop the TIFF file into ASD. Align to the map  via gear icon > Location > Align to Map.
