List of 3D Depth Cameras Supported by Dot3D

The following depth cameras are supported for 3D scanning with Dot3D:

1. iOS LiDAR Camera (iOS only, embedded)
  1. 0.33-5 m range (1-16 ft). Requires iPhone Pro, iPhone Pro Max, or iPad Pro.
  2. Recommended for versatility, tracking, & built-into-your-device convenience.
  3. Both Dot3D Pro and Dot3D Prime support use of integrated iOS LiDAR cameras.
2. Orbbec Gemini 336L - $379 USD (Windows/Android only, USB-C connection)
  1. 0.5-5 m range (1.5-16 ft). Recommended for range, FOV, and Windows/Android compatibility.
  2. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of Orbbec cameras on Windows/Android.
3. RealSense D455f - $439 USD (Windows/Android only, USB-C connection)
     or RealSense D455/D456 (very similar models)
  1. 0.33-4.2 m range (1-14 ft). Recommended for range, FOV, and Windows/Android compatibility.
  2. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of RealSense cameras on Windows/Android.
4. Q3D AuraGO LiDAR (COMING SOON) - $2990 USD (iOS Pro/Max models only, USB-C connection)
  1. 3-20 m range (10-65 ft). Augments the internal iOS LiDAR camera.
  2. Recommended as an add-on option for range extension on iOS.
  3. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of Q3D cameras on iOS.
5. RealSense D415 Depth Camera - $272 (Windows/Android only, USB-C connection)
  1. 0.5-3.0 m range (1.5-10 ft). Recommended for its affordability and Windows/Android compatibility.
  2. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of RealSense cameras on Windows/Android.
6. RealSense D435 / D435i Depth Cameras (Windows/Android only, USB-C connection)
  1. Supported but not recommended over the other options for spatial 3D scanning purposes.
  2. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of RealSense cameras on Windows/Android.
7. DPI-10 Kit (complete hardware kit with built-in, DP-Calibrated Carmine 1.082 sensor)
     or DPI-X Kit (smaller, mountable, but less rugged/complete version of DPI camera kit)
  1. 0.5-3.7 m range (1.5-12 ft). This camera has been discontinued.
  2. Previously recommended for room-scale, indoor-only scanning.
  3. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of the DPI-10 or DPI-X on Windows/Android.
8. DPI-10SR Kit (complete hardware kit with built-in, DP-Calibrated Carmine 1.09 sensor)
     or DPI-XSR Kit (smaller, mountable, but less rugged/complete version of DPI camera kit)
  1. 0.3-2.0 m range (1-6 ft). This camera has been discontinued.
  2. Previously recommended for close-range, indoor-only scanning.
  3. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of the DPI-10SR or DPI-XSR on Windows/Android.
9.  Intel RealSense L515 LiDAR Camera (Windows/Android only, USB-C connection)
  1. 0.5-6.0 m range (1.5-20 ft). This camera has been discontinued.
  2. Previously recommended for fully-enclosed, indoor-only scanning.
  3. A Dot3D Prime license is required for use of RealSense cameras on Windows/Android.
