How to Import Dot3D Scans into Gexcel Reconstructor

Gexcel Reconstructor can be used to process and work with point cloud files. you can import your Dot3D scans into it for  further processing and editing. 

Step 1: On the launch menu, select "New project"

Step 2: Name your project, select a location to save it, and hit "Create"



Step 3: Follow this tutorial to prepare your point cloud file for importing

Step 4: Press "Import Point Clouds" in the top left


Step 5: Select your point cloud file and press "Open"


Step 6: Select your files data type and hit "Ok"


Step 7: Select "Next"


Step 8: Select "Process"


Step 9: Press "OK"


Step 10: You must now wait for your data to finish being imported/processed. This can take some time.


Your point cloud should now be imported and visible
