Added Constraint Options for Improved Data Optimization
Plane Parallelism
While scanning a floor or wall, press the plane pick button and during optimization that information will automatically be used to enhance the accuracy of the scan

Scale Bar Targeting
Scale-Bar targeting will improve the accuracy of the model in post processing (Global Optimization) by ensuring the specified target-to-target distances are met.
Scale bar targets should be set up at maximum distances within the scene, and ideally along all relevant axes (x,y,z).
Hard Targeting
Hard targeting requires a minimum of 3 targets with known xyz coordinates
Hard targeting will improve accuracy while also transforming the data into the target coordinate system

To register scans with AprilTags in Dot3D, you must ensure that there are at least three unique AprilTags selected for targeting. This will typically take place automatically as shown here, however you sometimes may need to readjust the active tags ...
How to Batch Optimize Multiple DP Scans in Dot3D
It is often practical to optimize multiple DP scans in bulk, rather than process each one by one. Please see below for instructions on how to perform this operation: 1. Open Dot3D to the Gallery View (home screen) 2. If your scans are in the default ...
Which versions of Dot3D allow for use of AprilTag targets?
AprilTags can be used for loop closure (automatic single scene accuracy improvement by looping over unique tags multiple times) in any version of Dot3D with scanning capabilities enabled (Dot3D Scan, Dot3D X, and Dot3D Pro). However, to use AprilTags ...
