How to Establish Connection with Emlid Reach RX for Use with Dot3D Prime (for real-time corrections)
NOTE: This functionality is currently in beta. Please expect connection stability improvements and some modifications to these steps upon full release.
1. Make sure you have an active Dot3D Prime subscription (not Pro). This is required for use of external GNSS receivers for real-time corrections.
2. If you haven't already, first enter your source of GNSS corrections into the
Emlid Flow app. This will most likely be your NTRIP credentials.
Click here for more info on this step.
3. Establish a connection to the RX in Emlid Flow and wait for positioning. Hold the device still and allow some time for the signal quality to improve.
4. Navigate to iOS Bluetooth settings and connect to the 2nd "RX" connection. (You should see 2 RX devices available for connection, one presumably already connected. Connect to both.)
5. From Dot3D, navigate to Settings > GNSS & Geo Settings, select Emlid Reach RX (Beta), and Test Connection.
6. If you see "Successfully connected", you're ready to start your scan. If you see "Connection failed.", double check your Bluetooth connections, try restarting both apps, and restart this process until you see a successful connection.
7. Once you're ready to move your data out of Dot3D / off-device, make sure to select GNSS as your output transform (during the Save/Export process).
