How to Geo-reference Dot3D data to 3 control points (xyz or lat/long) without targets

How to Geo-reference Dot3D data to 3 control points (xyz or lat/long) without targets

To do this, please follow these steps after optimization:

1. Navigate to Edit>Coordinates
2. Select "Set" User Defined
3. Toggle from "Set an origin" to "Set 3 points"
4. Tap/click and hold on the screen to move your crosshair onto the right location for each point.
5. Input the corresponding coordinates for each point (if working in a local xyz system, uncheck the "Use Geo Coordinates" button).
6. Confirm.

Note that if using targets, you can leverage your control points for not only georeferencing but also for intelligent optimization improvement. If not using targets, this procedure will only help to rotate/translate the otherwise static dataset into the proper coordinate system (hence why you do this after optimization in this case). A.k.a. targets (AprilTags) are always the best option whenver possible.
