To use the distance measurement feature in the scan data, first navigate to the "Measure" tab and select "Distance."

Next, select "Add Measurement"

To take the measurement, tap and hold on any point in the scan to select it as the starting point. Repeat this process to select the end point of the measurement.

The distance between the two points will be displayed, along with the change in X, Y, and Z between each point. You can adjust the units of measurement that this distance is shown in, and can also view the change in X, Y, and Z between each point. Additionally, you can hold and drag on one of your points to change its position in the scene, to try and get more precision with the points you are selecting.

You can also measure the distance between target points or annotations by selecting the item and then clicking on its name to use it as a measurement point. This is useful for confirming measurements taken between tags.

This can be repeated to get the distance between your selected items. You can do this to confirm measurements taken between tags. The given distances should be accurate down to about a millimeter or two of referenced measurements, assuming they were accurate.

You can take as many measurements as wanted in your scene. They will be automatically saved to your DP file, and can be viewed at a later time.
