Calibration File: A file that contains information about an individual camera as a result of a DotProduct-proprietary individual camera calibration process. Assigning a matching calibration file before scanning is mandatory for Primesense / Xtion cameras and optional for Intel RealSense cameras.
Configuration File: A file that contains settings for camera-internal parameters. This may or may not be available as an option depending on the used camera. A configuration file can typically be used across one camera type, i.e. it is not individual to each physical camera (as opposed to the calibration file).
