April Tags targets can be used in you're scene to increase its accuracy in a number of ways. The most common and important use of April Tags, is to serve as a start and end point for your scan. Additionally, you can scatter them across your scene, and loop over them several times while scanning.

Another way you can use April Tags to improve your scan, is by measuring the distance between them and inputting it after scanning to help during optimization. Make sure you register the tags you measured during your scan, so that they can be used afterwards.

You can use a measuring tape to find distances between tags, or whatever measuring tool you feel would be best.
