Getting Started with FLX100Plus and Dot3D Prime

Equipment Needed:

  1. Leica FLX100 plus antenna

  2. Universal Handheld tray for FLX100 plus

  3. Compatible Apple iPhone Pro or iPad Pro.


Software Needed:


  1. Dot3D Prime - (will require a license which can be purchased from your preferred Dot3D Reseller or get it from DotProduct)

  2. Zeno Connect - available from the Apple App Store


Getting Started:


  1. Get FLX and Handle.

  2. Get Zeno Connect app from the App Store, install on compatible iOS LiDAR enable capturing device (iPhone Pro or iPAD Pro.)

  3. Insert FLX and phone/tablet into handle. Turn on FLX.

  4. Bluetooth-pair with the FLX using iOS Settings. Make sure there is a connection.

  5. Start Zeno Connect app and make sure the FLX is recognized.

  6. Setup RTK within Zeno Connect ("GPS Correction Profiles")

  7. Zeno Connect settings:

    1. Antenna Usage: upright

    2. NMEA Messages: GGA, at least 1 per sec. GST same frequency as GGA (this is important!)

      1. Toggle off everything except GGA and GST.

  8. Make sure to select a correction service that is giving you good RTK corrections in your area. 

  9. In Zeno Connect: ensure that the FLX is delivering live position data

  10. Start Dot3D. Go to Settings --> GNSS, select Leica FLX 100. Press "Test Connection" and make sure it works.

  11. Start scanning. Make sure to expand the GNSS icon in the top left corner and monitor GNSS quality while scanning.
