3.4.1 Scene Rendering and Viewing

When it comes to viewing your scene, there are a couple different tools you can use to help with visualization.

The "Surface Mode" button near the top right changes the scene from appearing as your point cloud information, to appearing as a collection of image surfaces. This can give a differing visual appearance to your scan, which may be preferred by some.

The "Backfaces" option below the Surface Mode button allows you to toggle being able to see all of your points at the same time, so you can see the walls and ceilings of your scene from all perspectives.

Additionally, you can find more options to tweak the visual rendering of your scene under "Settings > Scene Rendering".

In this menu, you can tweak the Glow of your point cloud, as well as toggle a couple visual settings, those being Normal-Based Shading, Point Cloud Transparency, and Classic Point Clouds. Its recommended that you adjust these settings to find out what appeals best to your personal taste. While you can adjust the Budget options below, it is not recommended, unless you are troubleshooting or doing something along those lines. The "Far Clip" Option at the bottom of the menu is something to adjust if working with larger scenes. It affects your ability to see farther away data.
